Childhood
Allen was born in the small town of Ivie Poland sometime in 1928. He had three sisters and lived with his mother, father, and grandmother. His father was a businessman and had a successful one, creating a good life for him and his family. There were three temples in his town and his family belonged to the “old temple”, the more traditional temple within the town. Allen’s father would bring him to the temple on Saturdays and every holiday. Allens says his life as a child was carefree and fun. However, when the Russians invaded his hometown on September 7th, 1939 things immediately became more and more dull. However, when the Germans came in in 1941, the real horrors started. His father was killed immediately by the Germans during their first massacre on the first day of their occupation of the town. A few months later his mother grandmother and two of his sisters were also killed by the Nazis. Allen survived because he hid in the attic. From here on Allen was no longer a child, but just another member of an worldwide war.

Change in Mindstate
Eventually Allen's former friends started to become Nazi Police Officers, and no longer even pretended to know his name. All of the people who were once his families friends now looked down and talked down on them. It suddenly was no longer a home, but a prison without escape for Allen and the remainder of his family. Things here progressively got worse and worse until Allen escaped.
